SUMMARY
The main legacy of Professor Karfík lies not only in the area of his architecture, and not even in the area of his life course. The author sees it all the more in the fact that Karfík introduced a version of liberal discussion. Inner discussion in the profession, open discussion with other models and common free intertwining of these models. It is this that we returned to shortly before the architect’s death and cautiously began to practice. The author sees legacy, which could be and should be further built upon, in the fact that Karfík introduced in his work a model based on pragmatism and liberal discussion – even though we could say that architectonically seemingly unsuccessfully.
