SUMMARY
The contribution is concerned with the evaluation of the present state of the urban structures and it suggests the return to the urban blocks as one of the possibilities how to deal with the actual problems. On the basis of this I intend to formulate methodological and conceptional principles of design with the stress on the present-day demands of the society, concerning the urban environment.
