SUMMARY
This article analyses the current state-of-the-art in new domestic apartment buildings in Bratislava. It is seen from the point of view of floor space, relationships of the spaces in flats and their potential usefulness. There are very often differences between the interior and exterior of such buildings. Many problems and many new ideas are generated by flats with restricted floor space: this is the area posing the main challenges for architects in the city region.
