SUMMARY
During last 50 years have the light buildings reached a great variety of application
possibilities, from high – rise buildings to glass buildings, from swiming pools
to stadium roofi ngs, from Reichstags covering to Cargolifter – assembly hall
for airship construction, the greatest world´s construction hall built without support.
Short terms of construction and low price of membrane buildings make them
convenient especially for mobile and temporary use. Special convenience of applied
materials is shown in their functional characteristics, especially by reconstructions,
sanatory intervention, reprofi lation and extension.
