SUMMARY
Architectural work as a result of technical, aesthetic and economic requirements reflects the period of its origin. Expression of the shape of a building can form a part of the functional intention and in such cases it can result in its geometry, surface and colour. On the other hand it can be a formal expression independent of its functional content. In the former case we can approximately determine technical aspect on the basis of the theory of building construction, but never its artistic and architectural expression which is of equal value when compared with its technological importance.
