SUMMARY
Over the recent years we witness a considerable increase in the numbers of the environmental impact assessment (EIA) centres in Slovakia. These centres have been set up to provide better information, international training courses, research studies, cosultations and manuals as well as other related activities on EIA. All of them have been established within the university environment and implement the EIA approach and methodology into the curricula of their universities. They are also active in networking among other European EIA centres.
