SUMMARY
The paper is concerned with the education of sociology in the frame of the FA STU curriculum which has not always been in accordance with the ideas of the lectures of this subject. These ideas are supported by the objective facts, by the nature of both sociology and architecture, and by the professional profile of the FA STU graduates. It is necessary to explain again the assets of urban sociology to the architectural design and land-use planning and development practice.
