SUMMARY
Supporting housing and housing buildings is an important part of economic and social policy of all prosperous countries with market economy. The issues of housing are currently pressing also in the field of reconstruction of existing housing areas in order to refurbish them. Nowadays, the concept of the state housing policy and the strategy of housing development in cities as well as the ways of implementing social housing policy are lacking. This paper deal with selected issues of communal housing policy strategy, with emphasis on economic and urban aspects of housing.
