SUMMARY
Aspects that affect tourism in Slovakia suggest that one of the basic problems is the lack of investment in building accommodation facilities. In particular, equipment is needed that would ensure a return on investment with efficient management. The categorization of accommodation facilities and their classification marks, which classify them for individual quality classes, is established by regulation. Pension (pension) as a simple hotel-type accommodation facility serves the general public. Its undeniable advantages classify the pension as an advantageous type of accommodation prosperous for the regional development of tourism.
