Architectural education at universities: Possibilities and parameters

The article addresses the current crisis of education models developed for architectural schools and departments of architecture in general. The text distinguishes different education and training models each preferring and mediating a different approach to the knowledge of architectural theory and practice. Two possible education models are compared in relation with the teachers’ and students’ communities at the Faculty o Architecture, Slovak University of Technology. The parameters of different education and training programmes are discussed and conclusions are introduced.
